CREATE CHANGE

Why should kids think about entreprenuership?

Instead of waiting around for someone to hand you a paycheck, you start asking, "Why not create the paycheck myself?" It teaches you how to think big, solve problems like a boss, and turn ideas into income.

Plus, let’s be real—figuring out how to make money doing something you actually enjoy? That’s the kind of power schools should be handing out like hall passes. The earlier you start, the more time you have to fail forward, build confidence, and maybe even retire before your friends finish paying off student loans.

  • Creativity becomes currency: When you learn entrepreneurship young, your wild ideas aren’t just daydreams—they’re potential products, services, or brands. You learn to trust your imagination and monetize it.

  • Failure turns into fuel: Starting early means you’ll mess up early—and that’s a good thing. You get used to failing fast, learning faster, and bouncing back like a rubber band with a business plan.

  • Confidence skyrockets: There’s something magical about seeing your own idea make money. It builds a kind of confidence no test score ever could—the kind that says, “I’ve got this,” no matter what life throws at you.

  • You become recession-proof: While others stress about job markets and layoffs, you’re building income streams and spotting opportunities like a business-savvy ninja. Early entrepreneurs don’t just survive—they thrive.

“Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

- Arthur Ashe

DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START?

Here's How to Start Your Journey

1. Start with What You Love (or What You’re Good At) . Think about your hobbies, skills, or things people already ask you for help with—drawing, editing videos, baking, gaming, organizing, even making memes. Every great business starts with a spark of interest. If you love it, chances are someone else will pay for it.

2. Solve a Small Problem for Someone Else.

Entrepreneurship is just solving problems for people in a way they’re willing to pay for. Look around—what do your friends, family, or community need help with? Maybe it’s tutoring, pet sitting, customizing sneakers, or making birthday videos. Pick one tiny problem and offer a solution.

3. Create a “Starter Offer” and Tell People About It. You don’t need a full business plan—just something people can say “yes” to. Make a simple flyer, post online, or ask your parents to spread the word. Whether it's “$5 logo sketches” or “custom playlists for $3,” the key is to start and let experience be your best teacher.
